I hear that. There is actually a Catholic social / economic theory called "Distributism" which is sort of halfway between Socialism and Capitalism. I am not sure it has ever been tried, but I would like to see it attempted. Basic rundown; emphasis on small farm / home ownership, families, and community rather than corporate or state control over local industry. More rural-focused rather than city-focused.
